What drew you to PME?

PME is led by world-renowned scientists and engineers, and offers tremendous resources, opportunities, collaborative environments, and academic freedom to conduct cutting-edge research.

What are you most proud of accomplishing in your time at PME?

As a new faculty member who joined PME in September 2020, I am proud of the smooth transition and successful setup of my lab during the pandemic, which is mainly due to the great support provided by the school.

Where do you see PME in 10 years?

PME will grow to be one of leading engineering schools in the United States and globally.

What breakthroughs do you anticipate will happen in your field in 10 years?

The recent remarkable successes in immuno-oncology will lead to new research opportunities in targeting the immune components of diseases. The methodologies and technologies that have been largely developed in the immunoengineering field enable studying immune cells in various diseases and will accelerate treatments for major diseases in the near future.
