COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

All travelers from outside of Illinois must adhere to guidelines provided in the City of Chicago Emergency Travel Order for domestic travel and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance for international travel.

Please note that in accordance with the University’s masking requirements, effective August 2, 2021, unvaccinated and fully vaccinated individuals are required to wear a face covering over the nose and the mouth at all times while in University buildings. University masking requirements, and event components, may continue to evolve based on new guidance from the State of Illinois, City of Chicago, and the number of COVID-19 cases and rates of transmission, risk from COVID-19 variants, or sudden clusters of COVID-19 cases on campus. Please monitor the UChicago Forward website for the latest guidance.

This event is open to all invitees regardless of vaccination status and, because of ongoing health risks to the unvaccinated, those who are unvaccinated are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures advised by public health officials (masking and social distancing, etc.). Public convening may not be safe for all and carries a risk for contracting COVID-19, particularly for those unvaccinated. Participants will not know the vaccination status of others, including venue staff, and should follow appropriate risk mitigation measures.
